Beastly

Beastly  is a 2007 novel by Alex Flinn. It is a retelling of the fairytale Beauty and the Beast set in modern-day New York City. Flinn researched many versions of the Beauty and the Beast  story to write her book. Many of these are playfully alluded to in portions of the book, particularly the chat room transcripts in which the character of Kyle talks to other teens who have been transformed into creatures.

Plot

Kyle Kingsbury is rich, handsome, and popular. He truly has it all...or so he thinks. That is until one day when a strange and ugly girl named Kendra appears in one of his classes and tries his 'royal' status, of course Kyle instantly takes this opportunity to bully her. He invites her to the upcoming dance to which he already has a date just so that he can embarrass her. It is then that Kendra reveals herself to be a beautiful witch and punishes him for his cruelty by condemning him to live as a beast. However, because of his one act of kindness (he gave a rose to the girl that was working the ticket booth) she gives him two years to find somebody who can love him for who he is, not what he looks like...and when he does, the girl must prove her love with a kiss. She gives to him a mirror with which he can see whomever he'd like, then vanishes. Kyle's shallow father - ashamed by his son's new appearance - purchases Kyle his own apartment where he proceeds to live with their housekeeper, Magda. His father also sends Kyle a blind tutor named Will who at first doubts that Kyle truly is a beast. Kyle then allows him to touch his hairy hand which leads Will to believe him and the two later become friends. Will suggests that Kyle take up a hobby to pass the time, he chooses gardening. Kyle then builds a greenhouse where he plants many roses which he tends to each day, they become very dear to him.

After one year has gone by, he decides to change his name from 'Kyle' (meaning, handsome) to 'Adrian' (meaning, dark one) because he is no longer the beautiful yet conceited boy that he once was. When he is about to lose all hope of ever returning to his human form, a drug addict stumbles upon his rose garden. Angered, Adrian hollowly threatens to drop him out the window. Desperate for his life, the cruel man offers his daughter - Lindy - to take his place. They make a deal and Adrian prepares Lindy a room filled with books and new clothing. Despite his efforts, Lindy (who is the girl that had been working the ticket booth) is still very upset that she is to be forced to live in the house. After several days of solitude, Lindy finally comes out of her bedroom in the middle of the night and bumps into Adrian. The two share a bag of popcorn, and things begin to change. They begin studying together under Will's supervision, and spending more time with each other. Adrian makes a deal with Kendra that if he is able to get Lindy to kiss him before the last year is up, she will also return Will's sight to him and allow Magda to go home to her family.

In an attempt to make Lindy happy, Adrian takes her to the log cabin that he used to go to as a child. Along with Will and Magda, they head off to the mountains. It becomes apparent that Lindy is content with her new life and that Adrian's love for her is no longer one-sided. The second year is almost over, but Lindy says that she wishes to be able to see her father just one last time. Saddened by her words, Adrian decides to show her the mirror which Kendra gave him, but only to discover that Lindy's father is very sick. Despite the last year being so close to its end, Adrian allows Lindy to go to her father because he truly does love her. He returns to his house, and awaits the dreaded day. When it has finally arrived, Adrian sees Lindy in his mirror and realizes that she is in danger. He runs to her aid but is shot by Lindy's would-be rapist. As he lay dying, he asks Lindy to kiss him. She does, and her kiss lifts the curse. At first Lindy is very confused by his sudden transformation, but eventually recognizes him as Adrian and kisses him again. Will is able to see, and Magda reveals that she has truly been Kendra all along then turns into a crow to join her family. They all live happily ever after.

CJ7

     

     Chow Ti (Stephen Chow) is a poor laborer working on construction sites. He lives in a partially demolished house with his son, Dicky (Xu Jiao). Chow is eager to save money so he can continue sending his son to private school, to ensure that his life will be better in the future. However, Dicky is often bullied by other children and his teacher (mainly due to his lowly status), and he usually finds comfort with a young teacher, Ms. Yuen (Kitty Zhang Yuqi).

     One day, while at a department store, Dicky begs his father to buy him a popular robotic toy called CJ1. Chow cannot afford it, and the situation ends badly when Chow spanks the stubborn Dicky in front of other customers. Again, Dicky finds comfort in Ms. Yuen, who is passing by. That night, Chow visits the junkyard where he often picks up home appliances and clothes for Dicky. He finds a strange green orb and takes it home, telling Dicky that it is a new toy, better than the robot they saw earlier. Dicky is hesitant at first, but agrees to keep it. The following evening, the orb transforms into a cuddly alien creature that befriends Dicky. After playing, he names the alien "CJ7", and then falls asleep. He dreams that the alien will help him gain popularity and good grades at school (parodying Stephen Chow's previous films, Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle). Buoyed by his dream, Dicky takes CJ7 to school the following morning, but he receives a zero on his exam and is humiliated during physical education. Frustrated, Dicky tries to dispose of the CJ7, but realizes his mistake and later reconciles with it. The next day, because of his alien pet, Dicky begins to make new friends at school. However, when his father discovers that he lied about his bad exam result, Chow confiscates CJ7, arguing that Dicky will never pass school if there are distractions. The father and son fall out, so Dicky sticks close to Ms. Yuen, who promises she will look after him. This cheers Chow up somewhat, who fears he might lose his son's love.

     Later, while Chow is working on a skyscraper, his foot becomes entangled in a rope attached to an oxygen tank. The tank is knocked off the building, pulling him along with it. He later dies at a hospital, and Ms. Yuen takes Dicky home, explaining what has happened. The boy then shoves his teacher out of the house, through his tears he tells himself that his father would never leave him alone.

     At the hospital, CJ7, using its otherworldly powers, revives Chow and transports him home. The next morning, Dicky, in tears of happiness, promises his father he will never give up at school or in life. The cost of CJ7's rescue is high, as his own life fades away through the exhaustion. While Dicky waits and waits for his pet to resurrect, his notepad opens on an unfinished page and a pencil writes a message (presumably from CJ7): continue with your schoolwork. Following the advice, things return to normal, with Chow attempting to flirt with Ms. Yuen (with little success), and Dicky playing with his new school friends. One calm afternoon, Dicky's wildest dream greets him when he sees a UFO land nearby, from which run hundreds of the aliens.

Ulzzang

     The word Ulzzang (얼짱) came from Korea. Ulzzang or Uhljjang means "best face" in Korean. The Ulzzang Fashion started in South Korea. Many Ulzzang wannabes post up their pictures on various websites, voting and chatting can be done on many of them. Contests sites, both internet and in real life, are often used to pick the best Ulzzangs, but you do not necessarily need to enter or win. Some Ulzzangs, however, have not relied solely on the Internet. For example, some have gained popularity at school for being attractive. Most Ulzzangs, however, use the Internet to share their photos, and that is how many become popular.

     Many Ulzzangs use web camera program, such as Haduri, are popular among teens in Korea, China, Japan. People also take normal or digicam pictures. Some people even use Photoshop to edit themselves. Once Ulzzang, who photoshop themselves, there normal looks maybe change . From before and after looks. Ulzzang who use photoshop, often edit there eyes to make them look bigger, and covering their flaws. So you can say that most ulzzangs are fake.

     To become an Ulzzang, young teens, girls often buy products for their face. This includes fake eyelashes, circle lens, for eyes "contacts", makeup, foundations, eyelid tape, and etc.

     The most famous Ulzzangs may earn celebrity status. Some Ulzzangs may even become real celebrities by going into acting, singing, or modeling careers. Two examples of former Ulzzangs are Goo Hye Sun and Park Han Byul.

 Emily the Strange

     Emily the Strange (sometimes written as Emily Strange) is a fictional counterculture character by Rob Reger and his company Cosmic Debris Etc. Inc.

     She first appeared on a sticker distributed at concerts, record stores and skate shops to promote Cosmic Debris, the clothing line founded by artist and skateboarder Rob Reger, racecar driver Matt Reed and Nathan Carrico, who designed Emily in 1991 for Santa Cruz Skateboards in Santa Cruz, California.

     The Emily the Strange franchise has a considerable merchandising catalog, including clothing, stationery, stickers and fashion accessories. All of the products feature Emily's distinctive appearance and frequently feature one of her famous sayings like; "Get Lost," "Be All You Can't Be," and "Wish You Weren't Here".

Co-branding alliances and partnership partnerships have included Jones Soda, Gibson Guitars and Manic Panic (hair coloring, nail polishes and colorful extensions).

    Bangun pagi rencanax mw jogging ma temen" eh taux hujan lebat, ya udah terpaksa lanjutin kerjaan minggu pagi seperti biasax apalagi kalo bukan nyuci n nyuci ampe tangan pada kapalan :D

     Kerjaan selesai gak nyangka temen"q yg baik hati pd nyamperin k'rumah ngajak jalan, y lanjutlah jalan pagix walaupun dlm keadaan mendung.

     Keliling" kota sambil bljr naik motor (maklum blm bisa bw motor sih, aduh jd malu)...diajarin sm saudara kembarq tercinta Nurul Aniska yg notabene adlh wonder woman haha, sbnrx bukan saudara kembar sih cm kebetulan aja kt lahir pada hari, tanggal, bulan, n tahun yg sama cm waktux aja yg selisih 12 jam...jadilah w panggil dia "my lovely twin sista'".

     Sukses bljrx malah udah bisa plg sambil bw motor sendiri walaupun cm bljr setengah jam tp lumayanlah drpd gak sama sekali kan??? Nyampe rumah nyokap sempat shock gara" liat anak cewekx yg satu ini akhirx berani jg bawa motor.

     Beberapa jam kemudian...

    Gak ada kerjaan lg, bosan, jadi OL aja dah...download ini itu...kerjain pr trus liatin bokap ngelukis sambil belajar teknik" lukis yg sederhana. Makan roti, minum susu, habis y bikin lg aha perutq udah penuh sampai jam 3 siang baru nyadar ternyata w daritadi belum mandi jg...amboooiiiii bau pulak larh egh
